Information that we gather
Websites and website owners often receive two types of information relative to their visitors and users. The first type is the voluntarily transmission of data from a visitor to the website and the second type is the inadvertent transmission of data to the website.
1. Information that the User sends to a Website
Such information can be email addresses (typically for receiving some product or service), names, payment information for the purchase of a product or service, e-mail content such as user feedback regarding our website or any issue that is related to our website / a product / a service, etc.
As far as e-mails are concerned, and content therein, we usually preserve all e-mail correspondence for practical reasons (answering e-mails based on past questions and replies, as well as resolving possible issues regarding products). Our e-mails are adequately protected using solutions that are compliant with up-to-date industry standards.
Other types of information that users send to us, like names, addresses, feedback messages, questions, payment details etc are always used solely by us with the exception of cases involving product orders and business transactions when these data have to be passed on to some company in order to fulfil the order.
Other than that, no personally identifiable information is ever transferred by us to third parties, thus, fully adhering to the law. We do, however, aggregate multiple sources of data that originate from a large group of people which we may use in conjunction with third-parties. These aggregate data are stripped of any strictly personal details and personally identifiable information.
2. Information that the User’s PC sends to a Website
Modern internet browsers and websites often operate with the so called “cookies”. Cookies are text files related to specific websites and are stored in a user pc. They typically contain technical data that allows a user to do things like save a certain session, which can remember the user’s login and password data so that they do not have to constantly re-authenticate themselves.
Our site may use cookies in order to save a user’s session and prevent the need for constant re-login. The cookies do not contain any personal information but are used for technical reasons.
One additional aspect of information sent has to do with the TCP/IP protocol of the Internet. TCP/IP uses unique IP addresses in order to identify data transmission requests and conduct the data transfer process from a server to a browser and backwards.
Our server logs all IP activity for functional purposes, debugging, error checking, statistics and hacking attempts analysis and prevention. IP data are not shared with third parties.
Sharing of Information with third parties
We are not in the business of exploiting any user’s strictly personal data for advertising purposes. This data will not be sold, lent, or distributed to anyone with two exceptions
a) The process of arranging a product / service use and delivery if you place an order.
b) In the unlikely scenario when these information are requested by Law Enforcement agencies.
Linked Websites Liability
For the content found on websites which are linked by this website, or websites linked to this website, we cannot be held liable. The exclusive liability in this case concerns the owners of the other websites who have direct control over them.
Likewise, we assume responsibility for the content of our own website which is under our own direct control.
